As someone who tends to gravitate towards more neutral colored clothing, this skirt definitely strayed me from that path! I can't get enough of this neon yellow skirt from Gianni Bini. I am a maxi lover to begin with, but the mesh detailing at the bottom separates this one from others I own. Since it is such a statement skirt, I wanted to tone it down a bit with this lovely black and white Calvin Klein button down. While still staying basic in colors the strips give the outfit more dimension overall.

I was lucky enough to snag these two clothing items from the Dillard's outlet near my work so unfortunately they are not online. However, there are tons of great options on the Dillard's site that are affordable and on trend. I definitely recommend taking a look at the site.

Hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. Cheers to only a 4 day work week!

One of my favorite accessories for all seasons is head wraps. They are perfect for days when you want effortless style and also for those bad hair days that I know we all have. If you are blessed with perfect hair I am envious! This beautiful sunflower head wrap immediately caught my attention when browsing KRZA by Krystle Dawn website. Floral prints are very in this season, and the colors are not too crazy to which they can be styled with many different outfits.

I chose to wear it with a simple black crushed silk shirt and some blue skinnies to show that head wraps can really make a statement to the simplest of outfits. Side note, I am also breaking one of the 5 fashion rules I talked about in this post. Mixing black and brown, especially with accessories, happens more often then not in my outfits and I have to say I love the combination.

What is one of your favorite accessories that can be worn throughout the year?

This past weekend a couple of my friends and I went to the Carolina Blues Festival located in the middle of downtown Greensboro. It had a large stage and areas for you to bring lawn chairs out to enjoy the smooth sounds of the blues. When my friend Jessica asked me to go with her I jumped at the chance to hear live music.

We started our evening off eating at a delicious local taco joint called Crafted. The food was amazing and the drinks weren't so bad either! We then made our way to the stage area to hear the music but not before taking some quick outfit pics. Can't forget those, right?

It was a little breezy but still warm enough to wear my new Target polka dotted shorts that I love so much. They are comfortable and really fun for spring and summer. I paired them with a brightly colored light weight cardigan and some Michelle D flats that were perfect for walking around all day.

I hope you all had a great weekend. Check back tomorrow for another giveaway that I think you will all really enjoy!!

Good Morning CY readers! I am very excited about this post as it not only features one of my favorite local boutiques but it is also my first giveaway. I have had the privilege of getting to know the owners of Vintage Jane, Kresha and Michelle, over the last couple of weeks and couldn't wait to feature them on the blog. I wanted you as the reader to really connect with the store and get a sense of what they have to offer, so I asked Kresha and Michelle what inspired them to start Vintage Jane. Their answer gave me a better insight into the vision of Vintage Jane and hopefully it does the same for you!

"Vintage Jane, located in downtown Kernersville, started in October 2010 with 5 vendors in one small upstairs room. We have expanded every year and currently have 19 vendors, 2 stores and raving fans as clients!

We operate with several unique components. First, our vendors operate our store. To be part of Vintage Jane we interview and handpick artists and one of the requirements is that they operate the store when it's open. They have great rapport with clients and feel ownership of Vintage Jane. Secondly, our mix of jewelry, clothing, handmade, up-cycled, new, vintage, and re-purposed product is all merchandised together to create concept rooms and gorgeous spaces. We want our clients to have an experience when they visit our store. We don't "booth" our vendors. We create a new floor set every 6-8 weeks and our clients love it!

Vintage Jane is owned by 2 women, Kresha Waldrop and Michelle Witteveen. We are passionate about our Janes (what we call our vendors) and "Selling Happy" to our clients. We want everyone who comes to our shop to leave feeling more inspired, more beautiful, more creative, more...happy!"

As an appreciation for you all following along I wanted to do a giveaway courtesy of Vintage Jane. Enter below to win these amazing handcrafted pieces from an amazing local boutique!

Today, I wanted to share an outfit that I wore for an outing in Old Salem last weekend. For those of you that are not familiar, Old Salem is a historic town in Winston Salem that has been restored and preserved for the future generations. It boasts over 11+ gardens, is home to an all girls college, and includes the Museum of Early Southern Decorative Arts. It is the cutest little town and it instantly makes you feel like you are taken back in time. Walking down the sidewalk we decided to stop and take a second to capture some pictures by the lush green trees.

I chose to wear this UrbanOG teal dress because it not only is a great color for spring but also comfortable enough to walk around in. As for the vest, I just love layering so I thought it gave the dress a little something extra while also matching my leather heeled sneakers. It was a win win in my book!

Hope you all had a fabulous Mother's Day weekend and check back later this week for an exciting feature and giveaway!
