LIGHT LAYERING

IMAGES BY: ANNA TUCKER

Happy Thursday everyone! I know I have taken a brief hiatus from the bloggosphere, but work has been insanely busy which I can't complain about too much. Being a commercial photography producer can be challenging at times but the reward outweighs those challenges almost every time. I work on the Birch Lane account and if you haven't checked out their website (in which my company does all the photography) I highly recommend you do so. They have a similar vibe to Pottery Barn in which you can find everything from furniture, home decor, and even bath ware. Check it out.

Now moving onto this outfit post. As temperatures are increasing and the official start of summer approaches, I wanted to post about how to layer with light weight fabrics in the summer. While the jacket may be a LITTLE hot on some days, it is nice to have for the cooler evenings and add a little more "flare" to your outfit. White is the color of the summer so these white linen wide legged pants are perfect for just that. They are lightweight, comfortable, and don't cling to your body to add extra heat. Same with this summer scarf I picked up from Target clearance not too long ago. You can opt for a different shoe choice (such as sandals) but I just loved these UrbanOG sling back mules so much I had to include them into the outfit.

Have fun with your summer layering and remember, light weight fabrics (linen, cotton, silk, lace) are key!

Scarf: Target (bought in store on clearance)
Pants: Moco Creations Boutique (Similar here, here, here, and here)
Jacket: TOBI fits true to size (I'm wearing a small)
Mules: UrbanOG
 Bag: Sole Society

    1. Thank you so much Katie! Most people don't approve of combining black and brown hues, but it is one of my favorite pairings.
